Initial Consultation

How do I schedule a consultation?

Phone- Feel free to call us at 713-955-2276. During your call, our intake specialist will gather your information, learn about your specific situation, and whether our office can potentially assist you, collect your payment, and book your appointment. 

What can I expect from the initial consultation? 

During your consultation, we will discuss your immigration history in great detail and Attorney Emma will explain the legal avenues if any, for you to obtain an immigration benefit. It is important that you fill out the intake as thoroughly as possible since this will assist us in making sure we do not miss any important issues that may apply to your case.
 
At the consultation, Attorney Emma will also explain the fees associated with your legal matter, and she will give you the information you need to start your case. 
 
Rest assured that our office is a safe environment where attorney-client confidentiality and privilege rules apply. This means that any information shared with our office will remain in our office and we will not share it with anyone else.  
 

What documents do I need to submit before my consultation? 

You may email your documents before to documents@imimmigrationlaw.com with your name in the subject line. We strongly recommend that you submit the following documents:
  • Your birth certificate
  • Your passport, if any
  • Your marriage license, divorce, and/or death decrees of prior spouses, if applicable 
  • Children’s birth certificates 
  • Any and all immigration-related paperwork that you may have- any prior applications, filing receipts, court records, ICE or CBP records, etc. 
  • If you have ever been arrested, please bring all documents- arrest, indictments, judgments. 
  • If you have been the victim of a crime, please send all incident reports, photos, and hospital records, if any. 

Does my spouse need to be present?

If your spouse is interested in petitioning for you, yes, your spouse needs to be present with you during the consultation so we can explain the process to both of you. 
 
If you are seeking an immigration benefit because you are the victim of a crime, your safety is our priority. Your spouse does not need to be with you in this situation.
